Acetyl coenzyme A (acetyl CoA) | Chemical compound formed in the Mitochondria.
Acetyl CoA is an important intermediate in aerobic respiration Linking glycolysis and the Krebs cycle. Acetyl CoA feeds into the energy generating the Krebs cycle and plays an important role in the synthesis and oxidation of fatty acids.
