Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s Disease | Neurological disease characterised by progressive loss of intellectual ability due to general shrinkage of brain tissue. Deposits of glycoprotein and beta-amyloid protein alter the neurotransmitter systems within the brain resulting in loss of cholinergic neurone activity.
